Nestled in a courtyard villa in San Juan Capistrano, Leah and Skyler's wedding day unfolded organically with the care and love they had shown from day one.
When I first met Leah and Skyler, I was immediately taken with them. They had just returned from nine months abroad, exploring 23 countries, discovering new foods, and immersing themselves in cultures far from home. The trip ended with a proposal in Bali.
When we sat down together in Del Mar over drinks, conversation moved easily through all of it: the travels, the wedding, the podcast rabbit holes we'd each fallen into.
What struck me most, though, was how naturally they made everyone around them feel completely at ease. There's a rare kind of warmth in people who, after nearly a year of being guests everywhere they went, come home more generous and more present than before.
When they mentioned their wedding date, I realized it fell on my birthday. Leah paused and asked if I was sure I wanted to work that day. I didn't hesitate. To spend it witnessing something this beautiful felt like the finest way to mark it.
And so, this was their wedding day.
