ABOUT THE BRAND
A wedding deserves to be remembered the way it actually felt.
The light, the color, the grandmother who pulls you in for a kiss, the hand in the air during the recessional, the golden light at cocktail hour. These are the photographs people return to. The real ones inside the beautiful ones.
Sunday Lately is built around how the day feels while you're living it. When the experience is calm, considered, and warm, the photographs follow naturally. Editorial in approach, documentary in feel, and warm throughout. The aesthetic follows your wedding, not the other way around.
"ELYSE'S STYLE, POISE, and PROFESSIONALISM was EXACTY WHAT WE were LOOKING FOR IN A PHOTOGRAPHER.
— Ellis, San Clemente, CA
It was a magical trip. Rösti, Swiss wine, Sound of Music-esque hikes, cowbells, crystal-clear lakes, villages that looked like fairytales. On that trip, in a pub in the tiny car-free Alp town of Wengen over a glass of Hasseröder, I decided to pursue photography full-time.
Storytelling came first. Writing, reading, and theatre were a big part of my life long before I picked up a camera, and photography turned out to be the same job in a different medium. A way to preserve the atmosphere of a moment, not just the moment itself.
Helping people feel comfortable in front of a camera comes naturally to me. Being invited into a wedding day is one of the greatest honors I know, and I take it seriously. The experience of working together matters as much to me as the final gallery.
Outside of work, my days are simple and full. Sourdough on Sundays, long walks with my golden retriever Penny, and dodging Nerf bullets from my two wild boys.
I’m Elyse. Making couples and brands look amazing is my favorite thing to do. It started in Switzerland, on a backpacking trip through the Alps.
These photos are special to me. They’re imperfect, taken when I was just learning, but they bring me back to where my love for photography began. I have a feeling I’ll return someday and photograph it again.

Editorial in eye, documentary in heart. Composed and intentional when it matters, candid the rest of the time. The result is photography that feels both elevated and real, true to how the day actually was.
I move through a wedding day with a warm, attentive presence. I guide when it’s needed and step back when it’s not, allowing things to unfold in a way that feels natural and unforced. I work closely with your planner and creative team so everything flows seamlessly, while you stay fully present in the experience. When shooting, I work similarly to a videographer, bringing in movement to make my couples feel natural and comfortable.
The couples I work with care about more than just how their wedding looks. They value intention, atmosphere, and creating an experience that feels meaningful for themselves and their closest people. They choose vendors that add to that experience rather than distract. They want captivating images that feel warm and true to life with a dash of editorial romance.
The wedding day deserves to be experienced, not endured. That's the whole point. Here's how I work to make sure it is.
